For a few hours on Friday evening (27/5/05), I couldn't get any internet connection on at all. I tried cycling the modem but that didn't work.
It appears to be OK now. I'm connected to the exchange on Don Mills rd, north of Lawrence.
Did anyone else, particularly in this area, have the same problem at that time?

| well me too...guessing you are on sympatico as well..I am down near vic park and danforth and I didnt have access from apprx 4 pm yesterday (27 May) to this morning. I called in around 11 pm and it seems there was a power surge in the area which destroyed their servers and they had to rebuild it. |

Had the same thing happen at McCowan/401 area. Seems their login server was down. Started working for me about 12:30am. Luckily I worked that evening so I wasn't sitting around with no access.

| This was the first time something like this happened to me on Sympatico. The CSR said i can call in to the business office and ask for credit. Maybe about 1$ or so i am guessing for 12 hrs of downtime. I dont think it might be worth it since this is the first time in 2 yrs this has happened. I might just give them a break. |
