Linksys Router and Linux FTP Server

Twice now I've tried to connect a Redhat Linux box that I've configured as an FTP server to a Linksys Wireless - G router. The FTP box gets an IP address fine but when I try to connect from a PC to the FTP server it goes painfully slow.

Here's the kicker. The same FTP server was connected to a D-Link router and I was able to connect to it from a PC with no difficulties at all.

Does anyone have any hints as to what might be wrong?
